Woodvale & Shankill Community Housing Association provides for, upgrades and maintains general family housing needs, sheltered accommodation for the elderly and disabled and special needs accommodation in response to defined and approved complex needs requirements.
Woodvale & Shankill Community Housing Association, previously Harmony Homes (NI) Ltd was established as Woodvale & Shankill Housing Association Ltd., in 1976, registered with the Industrial & Friendly Societies on 25 June 1976 and registered with the Department of the Environment (NI) Housing Associations Branch on the 3 May 1977.
Area of Operations
The Association initially focussed its operations in the Woodvale area of Belfast and latterly extended to Ainsworth, Ballygomartin Road, Twaddell and Springmartin in response to housing need.
The Association’s Role
The Association provides for, upgrades and maintains general family housing needs, sheltered accommodation for the elderly and disabled and special needs accommodation in response to defined and approved complex needs requirements.
The maintenance programme to replace and upgrade properties is now well under way. Phase 1 which covered 51 properties in Cambrai Street and Disraeli Street, Belfast is now complete.
Phase 2 has now started which will cover 38 properties. We are now in contact with those tenants to gain access to assess the work that needs carried out. If you receive a request for access please respond quickly to to allow your property to be surveyed.
Tenant Satisfaction Survey
The Association will very shortly be asking all our tenants to complete a tenant satisfaction survey. We hope all our tenants will contribute as it is essential we have your opinion on a number of issues. Your views will form part of how we provide future services. So please take part!
You can chose how you wish to take part in the survey by choosing one of the following options:
- Having a member of our staff calling to your home to carry out the Survey;
- A Telephone call;
- By posting the survey to your home and returning it to the office (we can arrange for a member of staff to collect the survey if you are unable to return it);
- Completing the survey online.
We will contact each tenant via post for you to chose which option is best suitable for you.
